HEADACHE CLINIC

Headaches that limit your concentration and activity levels are among the most common disorders of the nervous system. These include tension type headaches (which affect over 80% of males and 70% of females) and migraines (suffered by 18% of females and 8% of males). But the good news is you don’t have to put up with either. We have a number of physiotherapists specifically trained in Watson Headache Diagnosis (Australia). This new and advanced approach identifies the relevant segmental dysfunction as well as the segment causing the pain, in order to eliminate head pain.

ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture has been around for centuries because it works. If you’re worried about needles then don’t – most first-time acupuncture patients are genuinely surprised at how comfortable the experience turns out to be. By stimulating the nerves within the skin and muscles, as well as the endorphins and serotonin, acupuncture modifies the way pain signals are received. It also has a balancing and regulating effect on the neurophysiological system of the body. All of the physiotherapists who practice acupuncture at Habit are members of the Physiotherapy Acupuncturists Association of New Zealand, so you can be sure of the highest standard of practice and ongoing education.
